Back by popular demand! We are excited to announce the return of Poor Man’s big brother: Double Huk Double IPA! Double Huk is our unfiltered version of a hop-centric American Double IPA. Brewed with copious amounts of Centennial, Chinook, Simcoe and CTZ hops, the majority of hops are utilized in the kettle, then we add late kettle additions and then dry hop this beer which provides very pleasing fresh, hop-forward flavors and aromas of resinous pine, orange and grapefruit. Double Huk has enough malt backbone to support the hops, is slightly bitter and well-balanced with malt, hops, and alcohol. A little sweetness in the middle, but finishes dry, crisp, and clean. Double Huk is very drinkable and sure to please those looking for a hop-forward Double IPA. Fill the cooler, take it to the beach, tailgates, or bonfires with friends! Keep cold and drink fresh.
FOOD PAIRING:
This is a big beer, this ain’t no salad beer! Double Huk is best paired with food with similarly strong tastes so as not to overwhelm the dish. Pairs well with grilled or smoked meats like ribs, pork chops, and chicken. Strong cheeses, like blue cheese and sharp cheddars. Spicy dishes, like tacos, burgers, or pizza. Dessert: Can also be paired with bold, sweet desserts, like carrot cake.
